Description

Olive firewood is regarded as one of the best hardwood firewoods for domestic & commercial use. As the olive trees need to be pruned regularly, the off cuts provide a good renewable source of eco friendly fuel. It burns with a beautiful natural aroma, is very long lasting and economical. It comes in pre-cut logs of 15-25cm and burns well in open fires and large wood burning stoves.

How to Use

Closed Appliances

Always start with a clean fire grate and if fitted, close the boiler damper.

Place two firelighters in the middle of the grate. Build a small tower with the kindling around the firelighters. Ensure that you leave plenty of air gaps.

Light the firelighters and immediately throw a generous amount of Olive Wood Logs into the fire, so it covers the kindling and firelighters.

Close the door and adjust the air controls to the required level. No flames should be drawn up the chimney but the window should appear to be filled with flames.

When the fire is established, top up as needed with more Olive Wood Logs and open the boiler damper.

Open Fires

Safety Warning

Take care when lifting the coal bag!

Remember to keep your chimneys and flue area clear. It is recommended the chimney or flue is cleaned at least once a year.

Always ensure stoves are well maintained and have adequate ventilation.

A close mesh spark guard should be used with an open fire.

Our fuel centre is located behind our store in Ballybane Industrial Estate. Feel free to collect your order whenever best suits you within our opening hours.
